Step 1 - Welcome

The first step of the PrestaShop Updater is identical to the first step of the PrestaShop Installer.  It instructs you to set permissions on your files, configure PHP 5 on your server, choose the language of the installer and agree to the Open Software License (OSL) v3.0.  The only difference is that you should select the “Update” option.  If that option is disabled, it means config/settings.inc.php is missing from your server, so the installer doesn’t know which database and prefix to update.  Make sure that the file exists on your server.  Click the “Next” button to proceed to the next step.
