Step 2 - Disclaimer

The second step of the PrestaShop Updater warns you to back up your database and files before updating PrestaShop and requires you to tick the "I certify" checkbox before continuing.  Doing this means that you cannot hold PrestaShop responsible for any data loss if the update fails.  You should log in to your server’s control panel and use the backup option to back up all your files, then log in to phpMyAdmin and click the Export tab to download a backup of your database.  Once you've ticked the "I certify" button, you will then be presented with a table showing you how many modifications are required to upgrade your PrestaShop store.  It will also display a warning message if your memory limit or maximum execution time is low.  You can increase the memory_limit and max_execution_time in your php.ini file or ask your host to increase these values.  If you've got third-party modules installed, then they will be listed here and automatically disabled unless you untick the "Ok, please deactivate the following modules, I will reactivate them later" checkbox.  The reason PrestaShop disables all third-party modules is because incompatible modules may cause errors to be displayed on your website.  You will need to manually enable each third-party module after installation has completed and check for errors.  Click the “Next” button at the bottom to proceed to the next step.
